Description We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Contract Strategy and Compliance to lead our government acquisition contract efforts. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with leadership and support teams to identify and secure sales contract opportunities through direct and indirect pathways. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for government acquisition contracts, providing essential guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders from the strategic idea stage through to order and revenue recognition. This position requires a proactive individual who can navigate complex governmental regulations, build strong relationships with contracting agencies, and develop innovative solutions to expedite acquisitions and drive growth. Responsibilities Strategic Acquisition Leadership: Collaborate with leadership and Business Development to identify sales opportunities and develop winning strategies across direct and indirect pathways from initial concept to revenue recognition. Contract Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary SME for Government acquisition contracts, providing expert guidance on FAR, DFARS, and international regulations to ensure compliance and mission success. Market-to-Order Strategy: Support field sales teams by developing innovative Market-to-Order initiatives and acting as a bridge between internal departments for all Prime and Subcontractor contractual efforts. Relationship & Vehicle Management: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Government agencies and contract holders to create new contracting vehicles that expedite acquisitions and simplify the procurement process. Risk Mitigation & Proposal Support: Conduct in-depth reviews of RFIs and RFPs to advise on non-compliance risks, while assisting in drafting high-quality bid responses and subcontracting strategies for leadership briefing. Qualifications Minimum qualifications Extensive Industry Experience: Minimum of 10–15 years of deep expertise in Government acquisition contracts and subcontracts, with a preferred focus on channel partners and GWACs. Regulatory Mastery: Proven ability to interpret and apply the FAR, DFARS, and various U.S. and International statutes throughout the entire acquisition life cycle. Strategic Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex contract strategies for diverse internal and external stakeholders. Operational Agility: Highly driven professional comfortable navigating fluid environments and managing high-pressure, deadline-driven Government bid activities. Global Compliance Knowledge: Demonstrated experience managing contracting requirements and compliance standards across Federal, State, and International jurisdictions. Preferred Qualifications Advanced Legal Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited institution. Professional Certification: NCMA certification (such as CPCM or CFCM) or equivalent DAWIA Level III training. Network Depth: Existing rapport with key Government contracting officers and strategic industry partners. Leadership Background: Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex, multi-year procurement cycles. Analytical Proficiency: Advanced skills in risk assessment and financial modeling related to government pricing and profitability. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 - $263,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
