This position is remote or may be based in one of our many office locations around the US. At Verdantas, our regulatory team guides clients through the complexities of environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, from audits and permitting to program development and improvement. We specialize in transforming brownfields, managing environmental systems, and navigating federal, state, and local regulations. Our work spans multi-media consulting, stormwater control, SWPPP, sustainability, and air emissions permitting for industrial, manufacturing, institutional, and municipal clients. What You'll Do: Interacting and communicating directly with clients Interacting with regulators on behalf of clients Providing technical mentorship for junior staff Assisting with proposal writing Managing/conducting start-to-finish, complex air permitting projects Managing/conducting facility air emissions calculations and regulatory applicability studies Managing/conducting Control Technology Analyses (RACT/BACT/LAER) in support of air permitting and feasibility assessments Assist with air permit-related tasks, such as routine reporting, testing, and other regulatory submittals Independently assess facility emissions and review air emissions calculations developed by colleagues Have a deep understanding of air permit initial applications, renewals, and modifications Understand the process to assess facilities for applicability to air emissions regulations Communicate effectively with State and Federal agencies on behalf of the clients Advanced knowledge of air modeling guidance and processors (e.g., AERMOD, CMAQ) What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field Prior consulting experience is preferred 6-12 years of EHS consulting experience, with a significant portion of your job responsibilities during that time being related to the preparation and/or management of air permit applications Knowledge of federal and state air pollution regulations (NSPS, NESHAP, CAA Title V, NSR, MACT, BACT, PSD, PAL, etc.) Proficient in Excel and MS Office suite and environmental reporting software (e.g., state portals) A valid Driver's License is required, and a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites Salary Range: At Verdantas, we offer comprehensive benefits packages for our employees. Actual salary is based on the circumstances of each position and candidate, such as geographic location, skills, and certifications.
