Our client is looking for a DATA SCIENTIST located in Metro Detroit, MI SUMMARY Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing organization that is expanding its in-house data and analytics team. They are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to develop predictive models, uncover insights, and drive data-informed decisions across the business. This individual will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate complex datasets into actionable intelligence that supports efficiency, innovation, and growth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions using machine learning, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. This includes working end-to-end across the data science lifecycle from defining problems and preparing data to model development, validation, and deployment. Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage data for business improvement and operational efficiency. Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to detect patterns, trends, and optimization opportunities. Develop, test, and validate machine learning models and statistical algorithms to support business objectives. Design and execute A/B testing frameworks and evaluate model performance. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into business applications and monitor ongoing performance. Evaluate new data sources, technologies, and tools to enhance analytics capabilities. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field required. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, or statistical modeling. Proficiency with tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau. Experience working with large datasets and data manipulation tools (e.g., Hadoop, SAS, Teradata, or similar). Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to translate analytical results into clear, actionable business insights. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master s degree in a quantitative field. Hands-on experience with advanced ML techniques, NLP, or model deployment (MLOps). Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms and scalable ML systems.
