Senior Project Manager – Epic EMR/EHR Implementation (Enterprise-Level) Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Senior Project Manager with demonstrated, end-to-end ownership of enterprise Epic EMR/EHR implementations. This role is responsible for full lifecycle delivery, from project initiation and chartering through go-live, stabilization, and formal closeout. This position is delivery-owner focused, not a technical build role. While Epic analysts and technical teams will perform configuration and build activities, this Senior Project Manager is accountable for driving execution, managing risk, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring successful outcomes across multiple concurrent Epic initiatives. This role requires demonstrated ownership of EMR/EHR projects from project initiation through formal closeout. Key Responsibilities • Own and lead the full project lifecycle for Epic EMR/EHR initiatives, including: • Project initiation and charter development • Scope definition and planning • Resource coordination and scheduling • Build governance (not build execution) • Integrated testing coordination • Training planning and readiness • Go-live leadership and command-center coordination • Post–go-live stabilization (hypercare) • Formal project closeout and lessons learned • Lead multiple simultaneous Epic projects (small, medium, and large), including: • Net-new module implementations • System upgrades • Enhancements across ambulatory, inpatient, and ancillary clinical systems • Serve as the single point of accountability for schedule, budget, scope, risk, and delivery outcomes. • Partner closely with clinical leadership (physicians, nursing, ancillary services) to align Epic functionality with operational workflows. • Coordinate and govern Epic analysts, vendors, and third-party partners, ensuring deliverables meet agreed timelines and quality standards. • Lead executive-level communication, including status reporting, risk escalation, and go/no-go readiness decisions. • Drive project governance artifacts including: • Project charters • Integrated project plans • RAID logs • Status dashboards • Change control documentation • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and internal governance standards. Required Qualifications • 10–15+ years of project management experience • 5+ years leading healthcare IT delivery, with direct ownership of EMR/EHR implementations • Proven experience leading full lifecycle Epic EMR/EHR projects from initiation through closeout • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent Epic implementations • Experience delivering net-new implementations and major upgrades • Strong understanding of hospital and ambulatory clinical workflows • Experience coordinating across Epic modules such as Ambulatory, Pharmacy, Scheduling, Registration, and ancillary systems • PMP certification (preferred) • Bachelor’s degree required Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Life insurance • Parental leave Work Location: Remote
