Seven Bridges Program Manager Location: US Remote Who are we? Seven Bridges democratizes access to high-value biomedical data and delivers end-to-end solutions through expansive datasets, cloud-optimized workflows, secure infrastructure, and the scientific expertise of our bioinformatics team. As a key component of the national research infrastructure for NIH institutes and industry-leading commercial partners, we provide the scale, reliability, and scientific support needed to drive discovery, enable collaboration across disciplines, and speed the path from data to diagnostics and therapies. As a Program Manager you will report to Director of Programs. The Program Manager will play an important role in advancing Velsera's mission to improve human health globally through multi-omics and insights. They will lead or co-lead one or more Programs within Velsera’s portfolio - spanning engagements with non-profit, advocacy, and government entities. Recent examples of Programs include but are not limited to implementations of our Seven Bridges Platform for the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Research Data Commons for which we provide the Cancer genomics Cloud, and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s BioData Catalyst, both of which serve as the relevant NIH Institutes premier analysis environment for the data they steward. Fundamentally, Seven Bridges Program Managers are empathetic, strong communicators who excel at managing and organizing large, complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and external collaborators. They strike a balance between maintaining structure to ensure project deliverables are met and being flexible to change when priorities change. They keep the big picture in focus by integrating goals and project milestones from multiple initiatives across the company and community, defining and clearly communicating priorities, and ultimately ensuring that the products we build make research easier and faster for the scientific communities we serve. Importantly, Program Managers at Velsera develop deep, long-term relationships with our clients, serving as platform and industry expert, and helping to guide decision making collaboratively with client staff to best evolve our programs and technologies to suit emerging needs. What will you do? Collaboratively define key priorities within your assigned program(s) based on collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders to enable solutions to emerging needs. Drive progress by eliminating roadblocks and ensuring seamless communication across cross- functional teams (internal and external) throughout program life cycle. Articulate strategy for proposals,lead & coordinate delivering responses including budget. Manage internal and external stakeholders (tech staff to executives); communication of timelines and status, requirements, logistics, and all other project-related issues. Enable fulfillment of all obligations for your program(s), engaging with teams across Velsera. Research, understand, and prioritize the needs of the users served by your program(s); then teach them how to get the most from the features and products. What do you bring to the table? PhD or MS in science or engineering and/or experience in a software development environment Knowledge in genomics, epidemiology, clinical trials, and/or biomedical data analysis Program management experience in a relevant organization or multidisciplinary environment Ability to deliver compelling presentations tailored to diverse audiences Success working within teams, jointly prioritizing and making decisions to ensure alignment across projects and to overall corporate strategy Demonstrated leadership abilities.
