Essential Functions and Purpose: The Director of Sales is responsible for growing Velocity’s full-service lease and contract maintenance business within an assigned geographic territory. This role focuses on retaining and expanding business with existing customers while capturing new market share. The successful candidate will manage a team of Lease Account Managers and drive results through coaching, strategic planning, and deep industry knowledge. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of sales leadership experience in the truck rental & leasing industry. Strong understanding of commercial truck leasing, contract maintenance, and fleet management solutions. Proven ability to lead and develop sales teams in a performance-driven environment. Exceptional customer service orientation with a strategic, solutions-focused approach. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient in overcoming challenges. Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Principal Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Lease Sales Team within the assigned region, including: Recruitment, onboarding, and training Performance management and coaching Terminations as necessary Develop and support high-performing Lease Account Managers by: Setting clear quotas and performance expectations Collaborating on individualized marketing and account growth plans Holding regular sales meetings to track progress Assisting in closing new and renewal business opportunities Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to optimize sales strategy. Provide strategic input into the annual business plan and forecast for the region. Regularly report on performance metrics and emerging trends to senior leadership. Engage with cross-functional teams across leasing, rental, service, and finance to ensure seamless service delivery. Other duties and projects as assigned by executive management. Working Relationships: Internal: Collaborates with Leasing, Rental, Service, Corporate Management, and VVG. External: Direct engagement with fleet operators, logistics managers, procurement leaders, industry partners, and NationaLease.
