Their mission is bold and meaningful: more choice, better coverage, better pricing — and humanity back in healthcare. 💼 About the Role The Financial Controller will serve as the financial backbone of the organization during an exciting phase of growth. This leader will own the accounting function end to end, ensure financial accuracy and integrity, and partner closely with leadership to drive informed, strategic decisions. This is a fully remote role (Central Time Zone required) offering high visibility, real influence, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in healthcare. 🧠 What You’ll Do • Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger, revenue recognition, and payroll across five entities • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, delivering timely and accurate reporting • Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and management dashboards • Maintain and enhance internal controls; build scalable accounting processes • Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership • Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting • Ensure compliance with insurance, healthcare, and financial regulations • Partner cross-functionally on product, pricing, and operational initiatives • Mentor and develop members of the accounting team ✅ What We’re Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus) • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership experience • 3+ years in a Controller-level role • Industry experience in startups or brokerage/fiduciary preferred • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with QBO Enterprise and Veridy Billing System is a plus • Strong GAAP and internal controls expertise • Proven success in fast-paced, high-growth environments • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills 🌟 Why Join? • Make a real impact at a mission-driven organization transforming healthcare • Collaborate with a forward-thinking, innovative leadership team • Enjoy a remote-first culture that truly values its people • Influence financial strategy in a rapidly scaling organization • Competitive compensation with meaningful growth opportunities 🎁 Benefits • Full medical benefits for employees and families • Unlimited PTO • 401(k) with matching contributions • Paid parental leave • 10 paid holidays
