• **THIS ROLE IS HYBRID BUT CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCATED IN TAMPA BAY(ideally), ORLANDO or CHARLOTTE*** • ** Must have C-Store Retail, Car Wash and/Fuel Experience*** Role Summary: Our rapidly growing client is seeking a Manager, Risk, Fuel Compliance & Project Management, who will be responsible for identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across our network of retail stores and car wash locations. Key responsibilities include oversight of insurance programs, safety and compliance initiatives, claims management, and loss prevention strategies. This role will develop and implement policies and procedures that safeguard company assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety and risk awareness. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety and risk management program across retail, fuel, and car wash operations. • Manage insurance programs including property, casualty, liability, workers’ compensation, and auto coverage. • Oversee all aspects of claims management: initiate claims, coordinate with adjusters, monitor outcomes, and analyze trends to reduce future losses. • Conduct routine risk assessments and audits of store and car wash locations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies by partnering with operations, HR, and legal teams. • Complete and maintain OSHA-required documentation including forms 300, 300A, and 301. • Design and lead safety training programs and emergency response plans for all locations. • Monitor and manage contractual risk, including review of certificates of insurance and indemnification clauses in vendor agreements. • Provide risk guidance during site development, construction projects, and acquisitions. • Maintain thorough documentation of incidents, claims, and inspections; analyze root causes and recommend improvements. • Act as primary liaison with insurance brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators • Prepare and present risk-related reports to leadership; contribute to long-term strategic planning. • Maintain up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure accessibility for employees. • Oversee all required business licenses and operational permits to ensure ongoing legal compliance across all locations. Core Competencies: • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Safety, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in risk management, insurance, or safety; experience in the retail, fuel, or car wash industry preferred. • Strong understanding of insurance products, regulatory compliance, and claims management best practices. • Proven ability to manage risk across multiple locations and collaborate effectively with operations, HR, and legal teams. • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with claims and incident tracking systems is a plus. • Professional certifications such as CRMP (Certified Risk Management Professional), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), or similar are a plus. • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
