Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 8 years relevant experience, knowledge of information security lifecycle and network systems, ability to solve complex problems, with VA and EHR experience preferred.
LOCATION Full Remote TYPE Full Time ID j-11126 Junior Operations Analyst Job Location-Remote Overview: Varada Consulting, LLC is seeking a full-time Junior Operations Analyst that will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. The JOA will serve as a Junior Operations Analyst to the Joint Cyber Operations Integration Center (JCOIC) Network Security Operations (NSO) team to support the Electronic Health Records Modernization program connectivity and troubleshooting efforts. In this role, you will directly work with interface teams within the Department of Veteran Affairs and Oracle Health to establish or troubleshoot network connections between both entities Required Experience: • Support meetings, coordinate between technical and non-technical resources, and report, track and monitor meeting deliverables and outcomes. • Coordinate technical tests to support connectivity testing activities. • Support overall team planning and reporting. • Support connectivity changes and troubleshooting support of new and existing interfaces in support of the JCOIC portfolio. • Facilitate Line-of-Sight (LOS) Connectivity. • Review and manage Change Request activities. • Leverage their practical and hands-on understanding of networking and network technologies to answer questions and report metrics/status and information on any network connectivity issue of event assigned.. Minimum qualifications: • A Junior Operations Analyst has experience in the concepts, terms, processes, policy and implementation of information security. • Must have experience and knowledge of the latest security measures at all stages of an information system life cycle. • Must have the ability to solve complex problems involving a wide variety of information systems. • Must be able to understand and differentiate between critical and non-critical systems and networks • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. 8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.
