We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support our marketing and media team in sharing the Van’s story across digital, print, video, and events. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Marketing Lead, Media Manager, and other departments to coordinate projects, prepare content, and assist with campaigns and events. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who’s eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, creative environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist in preparing and organizing content for social media, email campaigns, website updates, and press materials. • Help maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent messaging and timely deadlines. • Support media relations by gathering information, drafting basic press materials, and coordinating with media outlets. • Assist with photo and video projects, including organizing equipment, tracking assets, and basic editing. • Provide support for email marketing campaigns through list management, scheduling, and reporting. • Help coordinate marketing materials, signage, and logistics for events such as EAA AirVenture Oshkosh and regional flyins. • Maintain marketing asset libraries and ensure brand guidelines are followed. • Provide administrative support, including vendor coordination, tracking marketing expenses, and basic project management. • Contribute to merchandising initiatives, including product refresh projects, apparel updates, and visual design for posters, signage, and branded displays. • Assist with website updates and improvements. • Review historic sales data to help identify trends that inform marketing and sales strategy. • Support copywriting, storytelling, and other creative projects across multiple channels. What You’ll Bring to the Team • 12 years of marketing, communications, or related experience. • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with excellent attention to detail. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; interest in learning design/marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator). • Familiarity with WordPress (big plus). • Comfort using social media platforms; eagerness to learn email marketing and website tools. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work fulltime onsite at our Aurora, Oregon headquarters. • Bonus points for experience with Mailchimp, video editing, photography, or event coordination. • Creative mindset and curiosity; interest in aviation is a plus, but not required. Work Environment • Fulltime, onsite at Van’s Aircraft headquarters in Aurora, Oregon. • Standard office hours, with occasional travel to events such as EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. • Supportive, collaborative team environment that values initiative, learning, and communication. • Handson experience across a variety of marketing channels, with opportunities to grow your skills. Work Environment Work is performed in a warehouse and light-manufacturing environment. Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, heat, and cold may occur. The position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion.
