Backed by Y Combinator (F25), Phosphor Capital, and leaders at OpenAI and Google. About the Role We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work directly with our founding team. You'll architect and build customer-facing systems at scale — from frontend to backend to infrastructure — on a product used daily by 300,000+ scientists worldwide. This is a high-ownership role on a lean, fast-moving team that ships constantly. You'll work closely with the founder on system design, set up scalable modules and microservices, work with designers, and talk to customers directly. You'll work remotely from Latin America with PST overlap required, six days a week with a flexible weekend day. What You'll Work On • Architect and implement scalable full-stack systems across frontend, backend, and infrastructure • Build and maintain customer-facing platforms used by hundreds of thousands of users • Design microservices, scalable modules, and reusable tools • Work with designers to implement clean, well-built user interfaces • Participate in system design discussions and code reviews with the founding team • Talk to customers and translate insights into product improvements Requirements Must-Have: • Strong full-stack experience: TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, Python • DevOps and infrastructure knowledge: AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless • Experience building and scaling customer-facing products — not internal tools • Comfortable across the full stack — frontend, backend, and infrastructure • Strong system design fundamentals • Excellent communication skills — concise, confident, and clear • PST overlap, six days a week with flexible Saturday Green Flags • Has worked at a U.S. startup, ideally Series A or B — removes a lot of uncertainty about quality and pace • Built customer-facing platforms used by a large number of users • Previous founding engineer or early employee experience • Stayed at roles 1.5+ years with clear, demonstrable impact • Enthusiastic and upbeat — We want to work with joyful, happy-go-lucky people • Reliable internet connectivity — has worked remotely before without connectivity issues • Can mentor others — signal of strong communication and depth of knowledge
