The role also sets standards for quality, governance, reusable patterns and reliable delivery. Familiarity and/or experience with one or more Adobe Experience Cloud products such as AEP, AJO, AEM and Adobe Analytics is preferred. This role combines hands-on Adobe Target development, front-end engineering, technical leadership and delivery ownership. The Lead Adobe Target Developer partners with product, business, analytics, design, AEM, MarTech and development teams to turn experimentation goals into scalable, measurable implementations. The role supports faster test delivery, stronger QA, consistent coding standards, team mentoring and improved personalization outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Adobe Target implementation for A/B tests, experience targeting, personalization, recommendations, multivariate tests and other Target-driven experiences. Build and maintain front-end code for Target activities using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, accessibility standards and cross-browser development practices. Configure and support Adobe Target activities, audiences, profile scripts, mbox or parameter usage, QA links, activity prioritization, targeting rules and delivery safeguards. Partner with product, design, analytics, AEM, MarTech and business teams to translate experimentation goals into technically sound, measurable implementations. Provide technical leadership by guiding implementation decisions, aligning teams on standards, resolving ambiguity and influencing a practical path from idea to delivery. Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating delivery tradeoffs, technical risks, dependencies, timelines and implementation options clearly and proactively. Facilitate alignment across product, business, analytics, design, AEM, MarTech and engineering partners to support prioritization, intake planning, launch readiness and post-test learnings. Define and enforce standards for code quality, QA, accessibility, performance, version control, release readiness, documentation and experimentation governance. Troubleshoot activity delivery, audience qualification, front-end behavior, analytics integration, browser issues and production defects related to Target implementations. Create reusable scripts, patterns, utilities, documentation and technical guidance that improve experimentation speed, consistency and operational reliability. Mentor developers and business technologists on Adobe Target implementation practices, front-end development standards, QA methods and technical problem solving. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, digital technology, design or equivalent experience. Strong hands-on Adobe Target experience including A/B testing, multivariate testing, experience targeting, personalization, audience setup, profile scripts, parameters, QA, debugging and activity lifecycle management. Strong front-end development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, accessibility, browser developer tools, cross-browser testing and web performance practices. Experience implementing Target activities using custom code, reusable scripts, front-end components, QA utilities and integration patterns with analytics or measurement tools. Working knowledge of Git-based development, branching, pull requests, code review, deployment workflows and release readiness practices. Ability to assess implementation options, troubleshoot technical issues, manage dependencies and recommend practical, scalable and maintainable solutions. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence decisions, align cross-functional partners and explain technical concepts to product, business, analytics, design, development and leadership partners. Experience managing stakeholder relationships, driving alignment across cross-functional teams and communicating status, risks, decisions and recommendations to leadership audiences. Experience mentoring developers, leading technical discussions, creating documentation and supporting standards or governance for experimentation and personalization delivery. Experience using LLMs as a complementary resource for development, troubleshooting, documentation and efficiency opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Adobe Target Certified Professional, Adobe Target Business Practitioner or equivalent Adobe Target certification preferred. Experience working with or familiarity with other Adobe Experience Cloud products such as Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, CDP/IDR capabilities or related MarTech tools. Experience connecting experimentation and personalization use cases across audience strategy, activation, content delivery, measurement, optimization and customer journey orchestration. Experience in enterprise digital marketing, financial services, regulated environments or large-scale personalization and experimentation programs. Experience developing reusable patterns, technical documentation, onboarding materials, standards or governance practices for experimentation and personalization teams.
