Organization: Continuing Med Educ Job Summary: In your pivotal role as CME Program Manager, you will be responsible for the compliance management of high-quality Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities. You will ensure compliance with accreditation standards and guidelines while fostering educational excellence and driving engagement among healthcare professionals. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative learning opportunities that support lifelong learning and improve patient care outcomes. Remote work is available, though priority will be given to local candidates who can report to our Nashville, TN office on occasion for meetings and team-building exercises. REQUIRED: - Proficiency with Microsoft Office - CME Management Software or other LMS knowledge is a plus. - Database Management is a plus. Work hours will be standard, Monday-Friday business hours. . DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The mission of the CME program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is to offer learning opportunities to physicians and other members of the health care team that will enable them to provide the very best possible care to their patients and perform optimally in their professional responsibilities as measured by improvements in competence, performance, and patient health status. Key Responsibilities: Compliance & Accreditation Ensure CME activities comply with accreditation requirements as outlined by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), state medical boards, and other relevant regulatory bodies. Maintain accurate documentation of CME programs, including activity changes, needs assessments, disclosures, budgets, learner participation, and outcomes evaluations. Collaborate with the Office for Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) Staff to prepare and submit required accreditation reports, self-studies, and reaccreditation applications in a timely manner. Serve as the primary point of contact for activities for CME Associates, Faculty, Speakers and Planners. Develop, disseminate, and analyze annual evaluations for the 300 RSS CME activities. Ensure documentation of topics for individual sessions in 300 RSS CME activities. Assist with CME activity set up and reviews in CloudCME. Stakeholder Collaboration Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, external partners, faculty, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of CME activities. Act as a liaison between OCPD, and VUMC departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment of program objectives. Provide training to new CME Associates and maintain activity course manual documentation. Provide customer service requests routed through the CME email inbox Provide input and support on the Educator Development Program (EDP) Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Provide input on evaluation questions for activities to yield the best results for continuous improvement. Analyze participant feedback, outcomes data, and industry trends to inform continuous improvement of CME offerings. Stay current with developments in medical education, emerging technologies, and accreditation standards to maintain program excellence. Qualifications: Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in education, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field is required. 3-5 years of experience in CME, medical education, or professional development is required. Knowledge of ACCME accreditation standards, AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, and other relevant guidelines is highly preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in using CME management systems, learning management systems (LMS), and other educational technology platforms. Experience with CloudCME preferred Proficiency in using Microsoft software and Smartsheet Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: This position may require occasional travel to conferences, CME activities, and meetings.
