Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Editor with a passion for traveling. This role will focus on overseeing content quality, generating engaging topic ideas, and contributing to the overall content strategy for the site. As the Lead Editor, you will also write high-quality articles, mentor the editorial team, and ensure our content remains authoritative, relevant, and fresh. What We’re Looking For: • Lead the brainstorming and research process for new topics, ensuring the coverage of timely, relevant, and evergreen content that appeals to our aviation-focused audience. • Review and edit articles from staff writers and contributors, ensuring all content aligns with our editorial guidelines, is factually accurate, and meets high editorial standards. • Produce insightful and well-researched articles on key trends and developments in commercial aviation. • Mentor and guide a team of writers, providing feedback to enhance their performance and professional growth. • Work closely with the broader editorial and management teams to ensure alignment of content strategy with the brand’s overall vision. • Track and analyze content performance, making adjustments to the editorial strategy as needed to maximize engagement, traffic, and audience retention. • Stay up to date with the latest trends in commercial aviation, forming strong relationships within the industry to inform editorial decisions. Skills We’re Looking For : • Proven experience in editorial roles, preferably within the travel industry. • Strong knowledge of the travel industry, including destinations, tourism trends, airlines, hotels, and unique experiences around the world. • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. • Demonstrated ability to generate creative, compelling, and SEO-friendly content ideas. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently. • Experience with content management systems (CMS), SEO best practices, and analytics tools is a plus.
