Lead and manage global data operations teams, oversee data integration and BI tool environments, maintain SLAs, and act as liaison between data consumers and engineering teams.
10+ years in operational leadership managing data lake/DWH environments with hands-on ITIL process experience and proficiency in data integration and BI tools.
Duration: 1 years Location: remote in US only, EST times preferred Pay: $65/hr W2 Snapshot: Lead enterprise data operations strategy; manage global teams; oversee ODS process key SLAs Environment: Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, Striim, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Copilot, SSRS, Power BI, Talend, Medallion Architecture Typical Day: • Oversee and manage a team of ETL/DBA and BI experts • Build strong relationships with businesses and serve as their primary point of contact for day-to-day data operations and managed services engagement • Provide support for the operational and maintenance of the data landscape, leading the engagement with both onsite and offshore teams. • Design, implement, and manage operational systems, processes, and policies that are aligned with project goals and client expectations. • Prepare key metrics, including support SLA metrics and ITIL ServiceNow reports, presenting them to clients in regular meetings. • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between data consumer representatives and data engineering, data architecture, integration, and governance teams. • Experience working with data integration and business intelligence tools (Azure ADF, SSIS, Striim, Microsoft Purview and Copilot, SSRS, Power BI) • Experience with ITIL service management principles and methodologies • Understanding of Service Management process of Incident, Problem, and change Requirements: • 10 years of experience in a similar operational leadership role. • Hands-on comprehensive experience in managing projects/program that involve Production Support and maintenance of Data lake/DWH Environments • Hands-on experience on ITIL processes • Well-versed with Outage, Incident triaging, coordination, communication in production support environment. • Experience working with data integration and business intelligence tools (Azure ADF, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik). • Experience with ITIL service management principles and methodologies.
