Base pay range $95,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr Senior Project Financial Analyst SaaS/Life Science Industry | Project Finance Experience Required | Remote - EST The Senior Project Finance Analyst serves as the primary financial partner for the company’s clinical research projects, working closely with Project Managers, Operations, and executive leadership to drive profitability, manage risk, and ensure accurate forecasting for high‑value, project‑based engagements. This role owns the full financial lifecycle of strategic projects—from pricing and deal structuring through budgeting, revenue recognition, forecasting, and closeout—while translating complex financial data into concise, executive‑ready insights. Key Responsibilities • Support strategic pricing and deal modeling for RFPs, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, and provide justification during client negotiations • Lead project financial setup, budgeting, payment schedules, and ASC 606 revenue recognition plans • Manage monthly financial performance, including revenue, margins, cash flow, backlog, and variance analysis • Identify and mitigate project risks such as scope changes, delayed milestones, and unbilled balances • Quantify scope changes and lead financial assessments and change‑order support • Ensure accurate reporting, timely billing, and audit readiness across systems • Contribute to process improvements and enterprise financial initiatives Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred • 4–8 years of progressive experience in project finance, accounting, or financial analysis, including direct project financial ownership • Strong expertise in revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), variance analysis, backlog forecasting, and cash‑flow management specific to project‑based services • Experience supporting pricing, contract analysis, scope management, and change orders • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; ERP experience preferred • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities • Ability to interpret MSAs, Statements of Work, and Change Orders • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders • Detail‑oriented, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment Compensation and Benefits Compensation will be determined by skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, location, and other business considerations.
