Project Estimator - Commercial Interiors Location: Morris Plains, NJ We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to support commercial interior fit-out projects from preconstruction through bid submission. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities • Prepare budgets and detailed cost proposals for commercial interior fit-out projects • Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to define project scope and pricing strategy • Perform quantity take-offs and develop accurate pricing using internal cost data and subcontractor quotes • Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure alignment with project scope and requirements • Write clear, comprehensive subcontractor scope-of-work descriptions • Conduct job site visits and coordinate with subcontractors and clients during the preconstruction phase • Provide value engineering options and cost-saving recommendations to clients • Collaborate with the Bid Coordinator and Chief Estimator on bid tracking, documentation, and administrative support Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or 3+ years of relevant estimating experience • Proven experience estimating commercial and/or industrial interior fit-out projects • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, civil, and structural drawings • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); estimating software experience is a plus • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial interior projects.
