A rapidly growing, PE-backed organization in Nashville is hiring a Director of Accounting to take full ownership of its revenue accounting function. This is a high-visibility role supporting a fast-paced environment with complex contract activity, a 7-day close, and active engagement with senior leadership. What You'll Do: • Own the end-to-end revenue accounting process, including close, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis • Lead revenue prep work during close cycle • Oversee sales flash reporting and explain drivers between accrued vs. realized revenue • Partner closely with portfolio, customer service, implementation, and FP&A teams • Manage receivables, write-offs, and revenue-related accounting policies • Lead and develop a small team • Work directly with the CAO and collaborate with CFO and leadership on PE-driven reporting requirements What We're Looking For: • 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue ownership • Experience in a PE-backed company required • Strong background working with contract-heavy revenue (SaaS, insurance, or contract-driven industries ideal) • Not straight-from-public; must have in-house operational experience • Exceptional communication skills and ability to "message" effectively in PE environments • Ability to thrive in fast-moving periods - especially the start of the year and close cycles Why This Role Is Compelling: • High-impact seat with direct ownership of a critical revenue function • Exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making • Growth-oriented environment with ongoing transformation • Hybrid schedule (in office Tue-Thu; additional days during key close periods)
