We are an established industrial manufacturer in Hillside, NJ seeking a machinery technician. Capabilities must include mechanical equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, use of machine shop equipment, as well as basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Candidate must be physically able to lift heavy objects. Be prepared to do well on our mechanical aptitude test in order to setup, operate and maintain wire weaving machines. Responsibilities will include machine setup, preventative maintenance, resolving malfunctions, breakdown repairs, process & efficiency improvement, and ordering & organization of shop supplies and equipment spare parts. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations including lockout / tagout procedures helpful as well as general good manufacturing practices. Some combination of high school VoTech / trade school very helpful and a minimum work experience of 2 years is expected for the necessary knowledge level of mechanics. Complete fluency in English is required.
