Job Description UW MEDICINE IT SERVICES has an outstanding job opportunity for a Technical Project Coordinator 3. WORK SCHEDULE 100% FTE – 40 hours per week Day Shift – UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 08:00 – 17:00 (PST), Monday-Friday DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS 100% remote opportunity 15 days of vacation your first year – Also, 12 days of sick time, 1 personal holiday, and 11 paid holidays each year 100% matching, 100% immediately vesting 403(b) PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert, aligning IT solutions with enterprise objectives Elicit, analyze, and document business needs, functional/technical requirements, business cases, and KPIs Facilitate workshops, interviews, and validation sessions to ensure alignment and clarity Conduct cost/benefit analyses, risk assessments, and process optimization efforts Support user acceptance testing and ensure solutions meet operational and strategic expectations Lead and support enterprise strategic technical initiatives across UW Medicine Apply full project lifecycle methodologies (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure) in compliance with Enterprise Technology Services/ITS and university governance Develop and manage project plans, budgets, risk frameworks, and resource schedules Coordinate enterprise-level operational activities including upgrades, capacity planning, and system readiness Lead or support process reviews, quality initiatives, and best practice adoption Participate in enterprise leadership discussions to ensure strategic alignment of IT services REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience 6+ years’ experience must include the below: Proven experience in strategic planning and enterprise IT delivery, including scope definition, requirements gathering, cost/benefit analysis, and process optimization Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-scale technical initiatives through the full lifecycle In-depth knowledge of methodologies (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, ITIL) Knowledge of healthcare clinical and administrative systems Ability to apply financial concepts (TCO, ROI) Knowledge of BA best practices (IIBA BABOK) Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) Hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and executing complex infrastructure/application activities Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience in process improvement and governance alignment UW MEDICINE – WHERE YOUR IMPACT GOES FURTHER UW Medicine is Washington’s only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
