Job Description Harborview Medical Center Float Pool has an opportunity for an outstanding Full-time Days Program Coordinator. WORK SCHEDULE Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) Day Shift 800am-430pm POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Only Level I trauma and burn center in the region Close proximity to public transportation Harborview ranks among the nation's top hospitals in rehabilitation care, neurology, neurosurgery and orthopedics Convenient location Close proximity to public transportation PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, implement, and oversee the referral process for both internal and external referrals Serve as primary contact for new patients and referring clinics Complete full registration for patients new to UW Medicine Obtain prior authorization from managed care plans as needed Obtain all necessary medical records, imaging, diagnostic studies, pathology items, etc. needed for patient care Maintain referral work queue and other databases for tracking referrals? Schedule complex appointments including, but not limited to, post-op and correctional facilities patients Work collaboratively with clinic leadership, clinic team members, and providers to ensure timely appointing of referrals Coverage of reception desk during staffing shortages REQUIREMENTS High school graduation or equivalent AND Two years of experience of experience in the program specialty OR An equivalent combination of education/experience ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
