By looking ahead and experimenting with new approaches, we’re creating new educational opportunities to help people thrive in a world of change.      UW Continuum College has an exciting opportunity for a Course Development Project Manager!     About the position   The Project Manager (PM) role supports the intake, planning, execution, and closure of non-technical projects from around Continuum College. The role involves managing for scope, cost, schedule, quality, risks, and change control in collaboration with other Continuum College units. They communicate clearly and work effectively with stakeholders at every level of the organization, as well as demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt to shifts in business strategy and priorities, project tactics, team capabilities, and organizational maturity. UW Impact Proactively identify and collaboratively solve complex problems with team members, stakeholders, instructors, and external partners. Provide input into software systems for project management Participate in project teams, committees, or other Continuum-wide or UW-wide initiatives.   About you   The qualified candidate has a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects of varying complexity—often in academic or product development environments—while modeling strong project leadership and facilitation, working effectively with stakeholders, and adapting to evolving strategies and priorities.   Functional Responsibilities   Project Planning  Conduct needs assessments and lead project consultations to understand stakeholder needs  Gather and document clear project requirements, scope, and statement of work  Develop realistic, achievable project plans and schedules in collaboration with project team members  Identify and document project risks and potential issues in collaboration with project team members  Acquire course development plan approval from the project team, management, project sponsors, and all other stakeholders  Project Execution  Manage a portfolio of course development non-technical projects  Collaboratively execute plans that include the following:  Clear project requirements, scope, and statement of work  Work breakdown structure (WBS) and integrated baseline project schedules  Buffer and resource management  Risk, issue, and change management  Proactively identify and collaboratively solve complex problems with team members, stakeholders, instructors, and external partners   Determine and clearly communicate project health, performance, and needs by compiling and analyzing project data  Collaborate with leadership to ensure resources are available to achieve project outcomes  Identify and address help needed by teams and remove roadblocks  Complete project close-out activities and documentation  Project Management Process & Tool Development  With Sr. CDPM, assist in the ongoing development, documentation, implementation, and optimization of project management processes and tools  Provide input into software systems for project management  Participate in project teams, committees, or other Continuum-wide or UW-wide initiatives    Qualifications and skills   Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in a project or program management role, or equivalent experience.   Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum requirements.
