Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Utilities One Group is seeking skilled OSP professionals across the U.S. to support fiber construction and engineering projects. The roles available include positions such as OSP Field Engineering Manager, OSP Engineering Project Manager, and OSP Design Engineer, each focusing on various aspects of OSP fiber projects from management to design and permitting. Responsibilities • Oversee field engineering activities for OSP fiber projects, ensure compliance with design standards and safety regulations, manage field crews, and coordinate with engineering and construction teams for on-time project execution • Manage full-cycle delivery of OSP fiber engineering projects, track milestones, and coordinate with GIS, permitting, and field teams to meet deadlines and client expectations • Lead the design of complex OSP fiber networks, prepare construction drawings and documentation, ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters • Support planning and layout of fiber networks, assist in producing HLDs, and maintain accurate field data using industry design tools • Support the permitting process for OSP fiber projects by preparing applications, tracking approvals, coordinating with municipalities and utility agencies, and ensuring timely submission of required documentation Skills • U.S.-based candidates only with legal authorization to work in the United States • Minimum of 2 years of experience in OSP engineering, permitting, or fiber network design (more for senior roles) • Solid understanding of FTTH/FTTP architecture, construction methods, and industry standards (NESC, NEC, PLA, MRE) • Proficiency with design platforms such as IQGEO, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Katapult, Vetro, or similar • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, job prints, and permitting documents • Experience working in a remote, collaborative environment with minimal supervision • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage tasks across multiple teams and time zones • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, compliance, and quality control • Familiarity with project documentation, deliverable tracking, and revision control practices Benefits • Opportunity to contribute to major national telecom initiatives • Defined career paths in Project/Program Management, Engineering Oversight, and Technical Leadership • Inclusive, mission-driven culture • Strong leadership and team alignment • Friendly and professional colleagues who value teamwork, knowledge-sharing, and mutual support • Remote work flexibility with company-provided tools and technology • Competitive compensation with weekly pay • Health Insurance Beneftis (health, dental, vision) • 401K Plan • PTO and paid federal holidays Company Overview • Utilities One was founded in 2016, evolving from our sister company, MoldCable, which focused on cable installation and repair.
