JOB SUMMARY The incumbent is responsible for managing and delivering selected educational programs focused on quality improvement principles in healthcare settings. Position focuses on enhancing leadership skills and implementing strategies to improve processes, services, and outcomes within the organization. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required • Education Bachelor's Degree in nursing, healthcare administration, public health, or related field • Experience 5 years of experience in quality improvement, healthcare management, or process improvement roles Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff and others on quality improvement initiatives. Preferred • Education Master's Degree - MBA or MSN • Experience 5 years of teaching experience in quality improvement or related courses 5 years of project management skills to lead cross-functional multidisciplinary teams and manage timelines. Familiarity with maintaining documentation and adherence to regulatory health care quality standards. • Licenses and Certifications (CPHQ) Cert Pro in Hlthcr Quality (CSSGB) CERTIFIED SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT - or equivalent JOB DUTIES • Curriculum development: Works with the QSOE Director and Associate Dean to design and update QI course content ensuring alignment with industry standards and UTSW's goals. • Program planning and Delivery: Organizes and oversees QI training programs, workshops, and seminars for healthcare providers, faculty, trainees, and staff ensuring accessibility and relevance. • Instruction and Facilitation: Delivers or coordinates expert-led instruction using case studies, simulations, and hands-on activities to teach QI tools and methodologies. Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement by providing ongoing training and resources to support staff in their quality improvement efforts. Assessing current practices, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions. • Assessment and Evaluation: Develops metrics to evaluate course effectiveness, participant learning outcomes, and impact on clinical or operational performance. Gathers data to understand current performance levels and identify areas where improvements are needed. • Collaboration and Engagement: Collaborates with academic and clinical leaders to integrate QI education into broader medical training programs and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote QI education and secure resources or partnerships. • Resource Management: Assures programs operate with defined budgets, utilizing materials and technology effectively for course delivery and participant engagement. • Mentorship and Support: Provides guidance to learners, facilitates QI project implementation, and supports staff in applying learned concepts to real-world initiatives. • Performs other duties as assigned.
