Full Description

Job Summary: We’re seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer with deep experience in Aerospace and Defense equipment sales, particularly within the U.S. defense industrial base. You’ll be responsible for identifying and growing strategic OEM accounts, managing complex government contracts, and navigating the full lifecycle of defense procurement—from technical engagement to contract negotiation and compliance. This is a high-impact role for a road warrior who thrives in regulated, high-stakes environments and understands how to convert technical value into long-term production awards. Target Applications & Industries: You’ll focus on OEMs and integrators in: Military aircraft (fixed-wing and rotary) Unmanned aerial systems (UAS/UAVs) Precision-guided munitions and missile systems Ground vehicle actuation and targeting systems Naval propulsion and sonar systems Avionics, radar, and electronic warfare platforms Defense-grade electric actuation and control systems Key Responsibilities: · Identify and engage OEMs and defense contractors integrating rare earth magnets into mission-critical systems · Lead technical sales efforts and manage full-cycle government contracting processes · Negotiate and close business under FAR/DFARS-compliant terms, including flow-down clauses and risk mitigation · Develop and execute account plans aligned to annual revenue targets · Maintain CRM pipeline with 10x coverage of annual quota · Lead development of MOUs, JDAs, and LTAs to secure multi-year volume commitments · Convert early-stage agreements into production slot orders and purchase orders · Deliver monthly forecasting and demand plans with ≥80% forecast accuracy · Collaborate with Contracts, Application Engineering, and Program Management to ensure compliance and delivery · Represent the company at defense tradeshows, industry briefings, and customer meetings Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field · 7+ years of experience in technical sales to defense and aerospace OEMs, with a strong track record in government contracting · Deep understanding of FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and flow-down terms and conditions · Experience negotiating and managing DoD contracts, SBIR/STTR programs, or FMS/DCS transactions · Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and disciplined pipeline management · Excellent communication, proposal development, and contract negotiation skills · Willingness to travel extensively (50–75%) across assigned territory Physical Demands The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment, a manufacturing floor and a construction site.
