Role Overview: As a Battery Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, testing, and optimizing battery systems that power mobile electrification platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of safe, efficient, and high-performance battery solutions. What You'll Do: - You will design and develop battery management systems (BMS) for hybrid and electric applications. - You will conduct testing and validation of battery packs to ensure safety and performance standards. - You will analyze battery performance data and recommend improvements. - You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate battery systems seamlessly. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to battery systems. - You will support the development of battery system specifications and documentation. - You will stay updated on emerging battery technologies and industry trends. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in battery system design and manufacturing. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in battery systems engineering or related roles. - Strong knowledge of battery chemistry, BMS design, and electrical safety standards. - Proficiency with battery testing equipment and data analysis tools. - Experience with hybrid or electric vehicle battery systems is highly desirable. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Master’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline. - Experience with firmware development for battery management systems. - Familiarity with regulatory standards such as UL, IEC, or ISO for battery safety. - Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup or contract environment.
