Job Title: Battery Systems Engineer - Hybrid / Contract Company Overview: USA Firmware is a leading innovator in mobile electrified power solutions, dedicated to developing clean, reliable, and advanced energy platforms. Role Overview: As a Battery Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, testing, and optimizing battery systems for next-generation mobile power applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance, safety, and reliability of battery solutions that meet evolving industry standards. What You'll Do: - You will design and develop battery management systems and integrate them into mobile electrification platforms. - You will conduct testing and validation of battery systems to ensure safety, performance, and compliance. - You will analyze battery performance data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and longevity. - You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to optimize system integration. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to battery systems. - You will support the development of technical documentation and reports. - You will stay current with emerging battery technologies and industry trends. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation projects. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. - Minimum of 3 years experience in battery systems engineering or related roles. - Strong knowledge of battery chemistry, battery management systems (BMS), and power electronics. - Proficiency with testing equipment and data analysis tools. - Experience with safety standards and regulatory compliance for battery systems. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with hybrid or electric vehicle battery systems. - Familiarity with firmware development related to battery management. - Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline. - Knowledge of thermal management and battery pack design.
