Full Description

Duration: 4+ Months Contract with possible extension Required Skills & Experience. • Strong experience with Windows system administration including Windows profiles, Windows services, scheduled tasks, and NTFS file shares • Deep understanding of NTFS permissions and least-privilege security practices • Experience working in Active Directory using ADUC to manage users, groups, and devices • Strong knowledge of domain authentication and basic network troubleshooting, including firewalls and open or closed ports • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis using Event Viewer, ProcMon, environment variables, and Process Explorer • Experience with log investigation and proactive system monitoring • Experience leading problem management efforts and implementing long-term fixes, not just break-fix solutions • Experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) and its deployment requirements. • Ability to create install packages and scripts to automate application deployment • Strong scripting skills in BATCH and Perl • Experience using GitHub for version control and maintaining documentation • Experience applying development rigor across the full lifecycle including requirements, design, testing, and production deployment • Experience working within formal change control and release management processes with a focus on risk mitigation • Strong documentation skills including technical guides and process documentation • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with stakeholders and resolving conflicts • Highly self-motivated and technically curious, with a track record of independently identifying risks, exploring system behavior, and continuously driving improvement of the current system and processes. Preferred Skills: • Experience managing and optimizing virtual machines • PowerShell scripting. • C/C++/C# development experience. • Working knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Windows Server • Experience with enterprise application packaging and deployment • Familiarity with structured problem management and governance practices • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred. In place of degree, additional years of equivalent hands-on enterprise experience strongly considered. • Microsoft certifications: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300), Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (Client-800 / Client-801), or Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200).
