Summary You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ASSISTANT (OA) in the INSTALLATION AND ENVIRONMENT DIVISION of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE. Duties Help • You will prepare correspondences, reports, and other documents. May review work prepared by other clerical staff. • You will schedule meetings, appointments, and conferences in accordance with instructions from supervisors. • You will provide advice and guidance to staff on clerical and administrative matters. • You will provide direct support to the Director/Deputy Director, Installation and Environment Division and/or program office. Information encompasses manpower, resource, and financial requirements. • You will control, develop, and improve various administrative directives, following standard guides, for organizations which are large or complex, or have diverse functions or changing work processes. • You will perform other duties as assigned. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyze methods, practices, and criteria to identify and recommend solutions; assist with designing an organizational structure for program operations; collect organizational data to provide statistical information; and discuss findings with senior management for planning improvement ideas to meet mission objectives.
