The role requires proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator, preferably with certification, and proficiency in Apex and Lightning Web Components. A bachelor's degree in a related field is also required, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT As a Salesforce Operations Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping advance the goals of U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In this role, you’ll take ownership of optimizing our Salesforce platform to ensure it meets our business objectives and aligns with our goals. This position involves a combination of administrative and analytical tasks aimed at enhancing organizational productivity and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and integrating Salesforce with other applications, customizing solutions to address the specific needs of USGBC. You'll work closely with different departments to ensure our Salesforce setup is optimized and effectively supports our business processes. Additionally, you will focus on optimizing Salesforce usage and contribute to advancing USGBC’s data governance program. You’ll report to the V.P. Enterprise Architect and be part of Technology team environment where your contributions will help shape impactful outcomes. You’ll work closely with teams like Membership, Market Transformation and Development, and may regularly partner with the front-end development teams. Key Responsibilities * Enable and support a global user base of 250+ Sales Reps, CSMs, and Support Agents across NA/EU/APAC, improving CRM adoption and data accuracy through responsive administration and training. * Administer core Salesforce configuration (profiles, permission sets, role hierarchy, sharing rules, page layouts, Lightning apps), ensuring secure, compliant, and least privilege access with a consistent user experience. * Design, build, and optimize declarative automation and data models (Flows, validation rules, custom objects/fields) in collaboration with Sales Ops, RevOps, and Support to streamline lead to cash and case workflows. * Analyze and track pipeline health, SLA adherence, and user adoption using Reports & Dashboards, CRM Analytics, and Data Loader audits, delivering actionable insights to business leaders. * Manage the end-to-end change and release process—from requirements intake and solution design through sandbox testing, UAT, deployment (DevOps Center/Change Sets), and post release validation—maintaining auditable documentation. * Provide strategic guidance on CRM roadmap, data governance, and integration best practices; coordinate workshops and user training; and stay current with Salesforce seasonal releases to communicate key impacts and opportunities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience * Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator, preferably with Salesforce Admin certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator). * Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * 3 - 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in technology Education * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Technology/System(s) * Salesforce: * Sales cloud * Service Cloud * FusionCore * Account Engagement * Data Cloud Skills * Strong skills in data modeling, security, and integration patterns. * Solid understanding of Salesforce best practices and development standards. * Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). * Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
