HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT ---------------------------------------- As an Associate, Operations and Enablement, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping advance the goals of the U.S. Market Transformation and Development (MTD) team at U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In this role, you’ll take ownership of critical support functions for partnership, sponsorship, and special projects, driving key initiatives such as process optimization for internal sponsorship invoicing and tracking, market research and preparing proposals for partner relationships, and ensuring a coordinated leadership schedule across the U.S., in alignment with our mission and strategic goals. You’ll report to the Director, Strategic Stakeholder Engagement and be part of a cross-functional team environment where your contributions will help shape impactful outcomes. You’ll work closely with teams like Marketing, Billing, Education, and may regularly partner with Legal to deliver timely, high-impact partner and sponsor agreements. Key Responsibilities * Assist in identifying, researching, and engaging potential partnership opportunities. * Support the creation and maintenance of partnership agreements, benefits and documentation. * Coordinate partnership-related meetings, calls, and events. * Maintain and support accurate records of partnership and sponsorship activities through CRM tools such as Smartsheet and Salesforce. * Help deliver timely sponsorship invoices and collaborate to optimize the process. * Manage sponsorship activations and ensure deliverables are met. * Provide support for special projects as assigned by managing director, VP-level staff, and Director of Operations and Enablement. * Conduct research, prepare reports, and create presentations in collaboration with leadership in support of team strategy and outcomes. * Develop and own a travel calendar for team leadership to ensure coverage for key engagements across the U.S. * Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS ---------------------------------------- Experience * Minimum of 3 years of experience in partnership management, sponsorship coordination, or a related role. Internships or relevant coursework will be considered. * Relevant internships or volunteer roles that involved partnership building, event coordination, or project management. * Demonstrated ability to break apart complex work into manageable tasks, create a plan, and follow through on tasks without oversight. * Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting proposals, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. * Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and take initiative in pursuing opportunities. Education * Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated experience or knowledge to meet the requirements of this job. Technology/System(s) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. * Experience using Salesforce and/or Smartsheet preferred, not required Skills * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. * Creative problem-solving abilities. Please note that salary negotiations will not extend beyond the top of the internal salary range.
