The Inventory Control Process Manager plays a pivotal role in driving strategic and operational excellence across the inventory control organization. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive business process roadmap, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation. By identifying opportunities for process optimization and standardization, the manager ensures scalable, efficient, and effective inventory operations. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of inventory control and supply chain functions, combined with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable results. The manager will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to implement best practices, streamline workflows, and enhance system capabilities. A continuous improvement mindset, strong project management skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders are essential to achieving operational growth and excellence. This position is remote with travel up to 75% of the time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain the business process roadmap for the inventory control organization, providing strategic guidance and prioritization based on impact and value. Create, manage, and maintain current and future state process flows, identifying and modifying standards for process improvement opportunities. Develop comprehensive process documentation including improvement roadmaps, SOPs, training materials, and implementation timelines. Lead the rollout of new processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to established policies across all inventory control teams. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on inventory control processes, offering guidance and support to key stakeholders. Provide leadership and direction to inventory teams by setting goals and expectations aligned with business objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for inventory process improvements and operational growth. Manage budgets and resources to support process initiatives, ensuring projects are completed within scope, timeline, and budget. Other duties as assigned by manager. SUPERVISION: N/A RELATIONSHIPS Internal: Inventory Control Teams, Area Finance Directors, Supply Chain Excellence, Field Operations, Program Management Office. External: Inventory system vendors, process improvement consultants. WORK ENVIRONMENT Remote: This role is fully remote with frequent travel to distribution centers across the network. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 7 years of business process management or related experience. Experience managing teams and leading through influence. Proven success in developing and implementing business processes with measurable results. Experience establishing strategies, policies, procedures, and best practices. Strong organizational and project management skills. Continuous improvement mindset focused on innovation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to present clear and concise information to stakeholders. Knowledge of Inventory Control, Operational and Replenishment functions. Up to 75% travel is required. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in business operations, supply chain, finance, economics, industrial engineering, or related experience required CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING N/A LICENSES N/A PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree. Proficiency in flowchart software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) or equivalent tools. Business Process Management certification. Six Sigma Certification - Green Belt. Previous consulting experience.
