What this job involves The Shipping and Receiving Manager ensures the proper operation of all aspects of the Logistics department. This position involves working with diverse internal and external stakeholders to establish and implement a comprehensive program for successful receiving, shipping, and delivery operations. The role includes supervisory responsibilities for a team of associates while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and safety compliance. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Manage the receiving, sorting, processing and distribution of all incoming mail, packages, and pallets Oversee pick-up, processing and validation of documentation for all client outgoing shipments to designated freight suppliers Coordinate pick-up and delivery of all packages and mail to client work areas using delivery management systems Handle and ship hazardous materials following proper safety protocols and regulations Supervise staff of hourly associates including coordinating PTO/vacation scheduling and ensuring 100% employee safety training compliance Maintain work areas and equipment in clean, orderly condition while following prescribed safety regulations Serve as primary contact for service requests and equipment move requests, ensuring all requests are completed within agreed timeframes Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to lift and move packages, pallets, and mail materials of varying weights Extended periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout warehouse and delivery areas Ability to operate delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment safely Work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels Manual dexterity required for sorting, processing, and handling materials Ability to work in areas where hazardous materials are present with proper safety equipment Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 3+ years of relevant work experience in logistics, receiving, or shipping operations Ability to lead and manage staff of 10-12 hourly associates Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with client personnel Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills Effective time management and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience shipping hazardous materials Some experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems Previous supervisory or management experience in logistics or warehouse operations Knowledge of delivery management systems and logistics software Experience with freight supplier coordination and documentation validation Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic Background in facility services or corporate logistics environments This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Estimated compensation for this position: 55,000.00 – 65,000.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
