Full Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Aerospace Medicine Specialist/Flight Surgeon to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a primary care physician with a specialty in aerospace medicine. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to pilots and crew members working in extreme conditions. You will discover, prevent, and manage the various physiological responses that occur from encountering exceptional environments, ensuring our Airmen maintain peak physical and mental condition to continue their work safely and effectively in the air or space. Job Responsibilities: - Design and implement policies and directives in collaboration with agencies on operational and occupational medicine, to assist aerospace medicine. - Ensure compliance with federal regulations for occupational health exams to provide occupational medicine support. - Promote preventive medicine by educating individuals on preventable diseases and injuries, and encourage healthy living habits. - Evaluate living and work environments for adequacy, and provide recommendations to improve the overall safety and well-being of pilots and crew members. Qualifications: - A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathy. - Board eligibility in emergency medicine, family medicine, pediatric medicine, or internal medicine. - A passion for providing specialized care to pilots and crew members working in extreme conditions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - The ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
