Headquarters: Farmers Branch, Texas Position: HR Business Partner Reports to: CFO Job Description: The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in connecting Urban Infraconstruction’s Human Resources department with our field operations. Based at headquarters in Farmers Branch, TX, with 25–35% travel to job sites, the HRBP will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The role serves as a consultant to operations leadership on HR-related issues while championing employee engagement, compliance, and field-level HR strategy. Responsibilities: • Serve as a key point of contact for field employees and supervisors on HR matters. • Conduct regular field visits to support employee relations, respond to concerns, and address compliance or disciplinary issues within 48 hours. • Perform field audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. • Lead and analyze stay interviews, exit interviews, and workforce trends to inform and implement retention strategies. • Deliver HR, EEO, and compliance training to field management and supervisors. • Provide monthly reports on workforce metrics including headcount, attrition, and staffing needs. • Support operations leaders with workforce planning and talent alignment across multiple job sites. • Manage employee relations including investigations, documentation, and corrective actions in accordance with federal and state laws. • Ensure consistent application of company policies and legal employment practices. • Oversee HR operational tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and benefit administration. • Maintain HRIS data accuracy and support dashboard reporting and analytics. • Act as a cultural ambassador by reinforcing Urban’s values, DEI efforts, and performance expectations. • Promote employee recognition programs and engage with employees to foster a safety-focused, high-performing workforce. • Assist with training program coordination and leadership development initiatives. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required. • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a generalist or HRBP role in field-based industries (e.g., construction, manufacturing, logistics). • Spanish fluency (verbal and written) is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of Texas and federal labor laws, including FMLA, FLSA, and EEOC. • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities with a detail-oriented mindset. • Demonstrated ability to manage HR in decentralized environments. • Experience using HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR) and generating data-driven HR reports. • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive situations with professionalism. • Preferred: SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP certifications. • Experience developing and delivering HR trainings is a plus. Requirements: • Up to 35% field travel required. • HRIS and benefits administration experience. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong consulting, coaching, and critical thinking skills.
