This is a hybrid position based in San Francisco or New York City, requiring 3 days per week in the office. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to become a core member of our operations team. This role is central to our supply chain, focusing on the day-to-day tactical execution that ensures the smooth and efficient flow of goods throughout the Americas. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at problem-solving, and is committed to maintaining data accuracy and supporting our cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction. What you will do: Daily Operations & Order Fulfillment: Serve as the main day-to-day contact for 3PL and managed transportation partners, overseeing daily operations to ensure service level and financial objectives are met. Own, maintain, and optimize routing guides for all retail partners, ensuring strict compliance to minimize chargebacks. Manage accurate records for all shipping transactions, including receiving orders, creating shipments in our WMS, and maintaining receipts in NetSuite. Collaborate closely with our internal member experience and commercial teams to resolve delivery issues, expedite shipments, and meet customer expectations. Act as a key point of escalation for complex shipment issues, such as delivery problems, service level failures, customs holds, and carrier performance issues. Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels for 1,000+ SKUs across our North American 3PLs by proactively identifying and resolving inventory gaps, preventing stockouts, and working with 3PL partners to ensure precise system-to-system stock alignment. Create and manage transfer orders to move inventory between Contract Manufacturers and 3PLs, and coordinate all inventory transfers across warehouse locations. Process, Performance & Analytics: Monitor and drive improvement for On-Time, In-Full metrics across all retailers and channels; develop root cause analyses and implement corrective actions when targets are not met. Develop and maintain clear Standard Operating Procedures for all core logistics functions, including routing, freight claims, shipment tracking, returns, and chargeback disputes. Analyze logistics performance data using Google and Excel tools (e.g., pivot tables, dashboards), manage logistics KPIs, and report data-driven insights to leadership. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Projects: Collaborate with members of the Supply Chain and Logistics teams to develop and implement continuous improvement plans for transportation, order fulfillment, and distribution. Ensure tight alignment between warehouse operations and logistics teams, particularly during peak periods and promotional events. Manage cross-functional logistics projects, such as international expansions, new product introductions, and onboarding new retail partners. Partner with the Global Trade Compliance team on customs clearance strategies and with Finance/Accounting for month-end close analysis. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. We would love to have you on our team if you have: 5+ years of hands-on logistics experience, with a proven ability to manage projects and contribute to cost-saving initiatives. Strong proficiency with logistics systems (ERP, WMS) and project management tools like JIRA, combined with solid analytical skills using tools like Google Sheets. Solid experience with omni-channel logistics, including 3PL collaboration, transportation coordination, and the compliance requirements for major retail partners. A strong understanding of global logistics principles, including import/export processes and customs documentation. A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to manage complex tasks and projects independently. Strong problem-solving skills with a desire to learn and apply new methods and technologies to improve logistics processes. Nice to Have Experience with Amazon Vendor Central is a significant plus.
