Full Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced, execution-driven Project Manager to design, implement, and run a scalable product-development project management system and to take ownership of ongoing execution, reporting, and cadence across multiple active engineering programs. This is not a coordinator role. This role requires systems thinking, strong judgment, and the ability to take over partially completed projects and drive them to completion. Scope & Context ~20 contributors across engineering, design, operations, and leadership 3–4 concurrent product development projects ~1,000 distinct tasks per project Current state: 1 project ~75% complete 1 project ~25% complete 1–2 new projects launching in the next few months You will be expected to inherit, stabilize, and improve in-flight work while building a repeatable framework for future projects Key Responsibilities Design and implement a scalable project management system (tool + structure + cadence) Take ownership of in-flight product development projects Build and maintain: Task hierarchies and dependencies Cross-functional ownership models Executive-level dashboards and reporting Run weekly execution cadence and monthly leadership reporting Identify risks, bottlenecks, and schedule threats early and decisively Enforce clarity, accountability, and momentum without micromanagement Required Experience (Non-Negotiable) 5+ years managing complex, cross-functional product development projects Demonstrated experience designing PM systems from scratch Experience managing hundreds to thousands of tasks Experience taking over partially completed or distressed projects Strong written and verbal communication with technical and executive audiences Tools Strong experience with one or more of the following: ClickUp Jira Asana / Monday (advanced use only) Tool choice is open, but you must be able to justify your recommendation Not a Fit If You are primarily a task tracker or coordinator You have not managed product development or engineering programs You are learning PM tools for the first time You prefer highly defined environments over ownership and ambiguity To Apply (Required) Please answer the following: Describe a project management system you designed from scratch.
