Request for Proposal (RFP): Freelance Publicist Artist Representation & Events Positioning Overview Brand Bravery - a leading, multiplatform creative and media agency - is seeking an experienced freelance publicist to represent a client in media relations and develop a clear strategy to position the artist as a recognizable and compelling brand within the arts and culture landscape. This is a hands-on, collaborative engagement suited to an independent publicist who works directly with artists. About the Artist - Discipline: Commercial artist - Career stage: Emerging, with limited online visibility exclusively - Practice and themes: The artist creates designs for e-commerce - Upcoming moments: The artist will feature a six month-long campaign of media activations in NYC transit centers to introduce the brand to Manhattan commuters and international visitors - Target audiences: Cultural tastemakers, influencers, vloggers, transit culture enthusiasts, and ordinary New Yorkers Goals - Establish a cohesive public narrative and brand identity for the artist - Increase visibility and credibility in arts and culture media - Secure thoughtful, high-quality earned media (profiles, interviews, reviews) - Support key career milestones while building long-term recognition Scope of Work The publicist will personally manage and execute: - Brand and PR positioning strategy for the artist - Narrative and messaging development - Media list creation and direct pitching - Press materials (artist bio, press release, press kit) - Interview and feature placement - Strategic counsel on public-facing opportunities Target Media Arts and culture publications, social media influencers and podcasters, and select lifestyle and cultural outlets aligned with the artist’s brand.
