Full Description

Location: Remote Type: Part-Time / Contract (Monthly Retainer) Hours: Initial set up will likely be a few hours but after that it should be a very limited ongoing role of 1-3 hours per month Pay: Flat monthly rate (to be discussed) About Us We operate two small but growing businesses: A live entertainment company (bar trivia, events) A youth sports and fitness company We employ part-time staff across multiple locations and are seeking a detail-oriented professional to take ownership of payroll onboarding and compliance inside ADP. This role is focused on accuracy, compliance, and follow-through — not recruiting or culture. Responsibilities Manage ADP employee onboarding and offboarding Add new hires to ADP and ensure all required paperwork is completed (W-4, I-9, state/local forms) Communicate directly with new hires to collect missing information and signatures Ensure employees are fully compliant before first payroll Set up and verify local and state tax jurisdictions (including PA PSD/LST) Maintain compliance with unemployment taxes and required filings Monitor ADP compliance alerts and resolve issues proactively Keep employee records accurate and up to date Coordinate with ownership on any payroll or compliance questions Requirements Hands-on experience with ADP required Strong understanding of multi-location / multi-jurisdiction payroll Experience handling: State and local tax setup Unemployment compliance New hire onboarding processes Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable communicating with part-time employees to collect paperwork Ability to work independently and flag issues before they become problems Nice to Have Experience with Pennsylvania local taxes (PSD/LST) Background as a payroll coordinator, HR admin, or ADP/payroll service provider Experience working with small businesses or franchises Why This Role Very low weekly time commitment Long-term, stable contract Clear scope — no HR management, recruiting, or benefits administration Direct access to ownership for fast decisions Ideal for a payroll professional managing multiple clients
