A bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in compensation for a multi-state organization are required. Knowledge of wage and hour laws, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, are essential.
Total Rewards Analyst SUMMARY: Assist in the development, analysis and ongoing administration of various compensation programs. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates positions based upon job descriptions and on-site audits using established systems and market data, determines grades and salary ranges, and prepared documentation records of the analysis and recommendations. Prepares data collection and analysis for special projects. Makes compensation recommendations and cost impact/savings for the organization. Completes compensation surveys and market analysis as needed. Performs reclassification analysis and determines the FLSA status of each position. Responsibilities: Conducts and completes salary surveys, and analyzes results for market competitiveness. Recommends necessary adjustments, and analyzes costs of proposed adjustments. Researches market data and selects appropriate external benchmarks. Prepares cost analysis, classification and pay grade recommendations. Maintains reports and summaries of results. Provides assistance to Managers wanting to create a new position or revise current positions. Conducts a job evaluation to prepare necessary recommendations. May revise and update job descriptions or request revisions to clarify or enhance the quality and consistency of descriptions. Serves as a resource to HR staff and managers on compensation policies, wage and hour guidelines, and pay issues. Creates and updates compensation panels in the Peoplesoft system. Prepares audits reports for accuracy and appropriateness based upon policies and guidelines. Maintain/update job class for each entity and update as necessary. Coordinates with Payroll, HRIS and Recruitment on changes to pay practices, changes to a position and salary increases. Supports the design, development and implementation of compensation and benefit practices. Design, evaluate and modify policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements. Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plan. Direct preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of compensation and personnel policies. Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees, by working with brokers and researching benefits issues. Mediate between benefits providers and employees, such as by assisting in handling employees' benefits-related questions or taking suggestions. Direct preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits, compensation, and personnel policies. Prepare detailed job descriptions and classification systems and define job levels and families, in partnership with other managers. Manage the design and development of tools to assist employees in benefits selection, and to guide managers through compensation decisions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in compensation for a multi-state organization. Well versed in wage and hour laws including FLSA. Experience in designing, implementing, and administering incentive programs preferred Experience with creating reports and conducting cost analysis Advanced in Microsoft Excel required.
