UPMC Corporate Finance is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst, Senior to join the Labor Budgeting and Productivity (LBP) Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on interpreting financial data, utilizing business information systems, working with clinical operations, and providing strategic insights that drive staffing decisions. Location: This position will be based out of Forbes Tower in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will have the potential to work from home with a hybrid schedule which includes some days in office per week and some days at home per week. Key Responsibilities: Interpret Financial Data: Analyze and interpret salary and labor productivity data to support strategic decision-making. Mentorship: Provide functional advice and training to other financial staff as well as operational leaders and administrative staff. Data Analysis: Extract and define relevant financial information to assess past performance and forecast future financial outcomes while becoming a subject matter expert in UPMC’s Labor, Budgeting, and Productivity (LBP) business information system. Advanced Reporting: Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis. Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis using data from various financial systems. Cost Studies: Plan and conduct in-depth studies to determine the cost of business activities and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures with a focus on labor costs. Budgeting and Controllership: Support finance staff from across the system during the annual budgeting process.
