Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director with a strong background in skilled nursing facilities to lead our maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of industrial maintenance, facilities management, and electrical systems, ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our healthcare environment. As Maintenance Director, you will oversee all aspects of maintenance activities, manage a team of technicians, and implement preventative strategies to uphold the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. Duties • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to ensure optimal facility performance. • Supervise and lead maintenance staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a proactive and skilled team. • Manage electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage circuits, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters. • Oversee mechanical systems including HVAC units, plumbing, and other building infrastructure to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. • Coordinate projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial maintenance equipment, and facility upgrades to improve operational efficiency. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical work (including high voltage), mechanical systems, and general facilities management standards. • Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and system upgrades in accordance with regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and execute large-scale projects while managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Experience • Proven management experience within healthcare or manufacturing environments with a focus on facilities or industrial maintenance leadership. • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage wiring—schematics reading, and troubleshooting techniques. • Demonstrated expertise in HVAC systems management along with mechanical knowledge relevant to building operations. • Experience operating CMMS platforms for work order tracking, preventive maintenance scheduling, and asset management. • Supervisory experience leading teams of technicians or engineers in complex maintenance settings. • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing processes or healthcare-specific environments such as skilled nursing facilities is highly desirable. • Proficiency in English communication skills for effective reporting, team coordination, and safety instructions.
