PhD in relevant field, experience with genomic data analysis, bioinformatics, coding, wet lab skills, publication record, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Description: • Analyze genomic and transcriptomic data • Apply bioinformatics and statistical methods to analyze data sets • Write peer-reviewed manuscripts • Participate in the lab, including working with students • The candidate will have the opportunity to present findings at local and national conferences. • May perform additional assignments as directed. • May participate in international fieldwork and sample collection Requirements: • A Doctoral Degree is required for this position, however, consideration will be given to applicants that are currently pursuing their Doctoral Degree and will complete the degree prior to starting work. • Education: Ph.D. degree (by the appointment start date) in biology, ecology and evolution, physiology, wildlife biology, or related field • Experience: Published manuscripts (or papers in review) demonstrating proficiency in analyzing genomic and transcriptomic data, or similar. • Experience in the application of bioinformatics methods, population genomic analyses, and/or genotype-environment analyses • Coding experience • Wet lab experience • Publication record showing proof of skillsets above (preprints accepted) • Strong written and oral communication skills • Experience and demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and within a team • Effective time management skills, clear organization, and prioritization of time-sensitive tasks.
