Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student with social media experience, teamwork skills, event planning understanding, and comfort engaging diverse communities.
**Job Summary** - The Moreau Center Social Media and Marketing Assistant will play an integral role in increasing the visibility of the Moreau Center on campus and social media. This position will work closely with the Moreau Center Director and the Office Manager to create social media posts and marketing materials to be distributed across campus that accurately represent the mission, values, and programs of the Moreau Center. The position will also collaborate with Moreau Center Staff to support events. Core Duties - Create weekly social media content to be posted that advances work and mission of the Moreau Center - Support events with set up, staffing, and breakdown day of, as well as any necessary prep and follow up work as determined by the type of the event - Staff campus tabling events on behalf of the Moreau Center including set up and break down. - Participate in volunteer events and opportunities to document and assist in content creation - Develop marketing content for the Moreau Center, including but not limited to, flyers, posters, stickers, - Conduct outreach to increase campus awareness and engagement in Moreau Center activities - Collaborate with Director and Office Manager to develop social media and campus outreach strategy - Other relevant duties as assigned • *Minimum Qualifications** - University of Portland undergraduate student, currently enrolled - Experience with social media - Ability to work as a team and independently - Generally understanding of event planning - Comfortable engaging with diverse communities Preferred Qualifications - Basic knowledge of the Moreau Center and its programs - Experience creating social media posts, flyers and other outreach materials - Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Photography, videography, and other digital platform experience - Strong written communication and storytelling skills Terms and Hours Approx. 8-12 hours per week • *Hourly Wage** Portland Metro Minimum Wage ($16.30)
