Position Summary The Cohen lab studies the dynamics and function of intracellular organelles in the context of normal development and neurodegenerative disease. We use advanced microscopy techniques such as live-cell imaging, multispectral imaging, and superresolution microscopy. A lab technician is needed to perform cell biology research. Responsibilities will include lab management duties and independent research studying organelle dynamics and protein trafficking/function. Research tasks will include a combination of the following: culture of mammalian cells (including induced pluripotent stem cells, neurons, and/or astrocytes), molecular biology, biochemistry, cell-based assays, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, and data analysis. Minimum Education And Experience Requirements Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Required Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience Strong team-work and organizational abilities are essential. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience Experience working in a lab. Experience with molecular biology, biochemistry, mammalian cell culture, light microscopy, and/or data analysis.
