The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Workday Extend/Assistant/WalkMe (SAP) Product Owner to work in Miami. The Workday Extend/Assistant/WalkMe (SAP) Product Owner is responsible for defining and driving the strategy, roadmap, and execution of custom Workday Extend applications, AI-powered assistant capabilities, and digital adoption solutions that support and extend the Workday platform. This role focuses on leveraging Workday Extend for scalable application development and workflow orchestration, Workday Assistant for AI-driven interactions, and WalkMe (SAP) for in-application guidance and analytics to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and improve decision-making across clinical, academic, research, and administrative departments. The Product Owner collaborates closely with stakeholders, development teams, and leadership to deliver secure, compliant, and high-impact solutions aligned with organizational objectives. Core Responsibilities: Defining and driving the product strategy and roadmap for Workday Extend, Workday Assistant, and WalkMe (SAP), aligning with the institutional goals for digital transformation across healthcare, education, and research. Identify opportunities where Workday Extend applications can address complex business needs that exceed standard Workday configuration. Collaborate with clinical, research, and administrative stakeholders to gather requirements and identify use cases for Extend-based solutions, AI assistants, and digital adoption tools. Prioritize and manage the product backlog, translating complex requirements into user stories for development teams. Ensure all Extend applications and Assistant/WalkMe solutions meet the requirements of a medical academic environment, including data privacy, security, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations. Working closely with IT leadership to integrate Workday Extend applications and AI solutions with existing systems and infrastructure. Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of Extend, Assistant, and WalkMe initiatives. Lead user research and feedback sessions to continuously improve Extend applications, AI assistant, functionality and user experience. Ensure Extend, Assistant, and WalkMe solutions adhere to ethical guidelines, data privacy regulations, and security best practices. Champion adoption of Extend-based solutions and AI-driven experience, providing training, and support to users. Staying current with the latest advancements with Extend, Assistant, and WalkMe technology, and innovation. Manages the iterative lifecycle of the product from conception to maintenance, including concept, scope, specifications, prioritization, design, implementation, user acceptance testing, quality assurance, deployment, and maintenance. Acts as the champion of the product internally and externally, pushing for rapid adoption by defining clear goals and KPIs around customer value, and drives strategies to achieve them. Serve as the voice of the user throughout development, ensuring solutions address real pain points and deliver measurable value. Analyzes quantitative data to determine which plans are most successful and identifies new product opportunities and works closely with other Product Managers, Vendors, User Experience, Design and Development to define the Product Vision, Roadmap and Release Plans. Defines and prioritizes the product backlog translating high-level requirements into user stories and performs acceptance testing on a rolling basis throughout each product increment. Collaborates with Marketing, Communications, Operations, and other partners to define and execute on go-to-market activities, ensures user adoption, and identifies and measures user utility. Creates product specifications as needed; wireframes with support from UX team, process workflows, state transition diagrams, copy decks, acceptance test plans, user stories and acceptance criteria, personas, and any other agile artifacts that will serve as a communication bridge between customers and the development team Establish and assess internal controls, ensuring compliance with university policies, procedures, and governance standards. Ensure employees are trained on controls, policies, and procedures relevant to Extend and AI-enabled solutions. Safeguard University assets and adhere to all University and unit-level policies and procedures. CORE QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; Master's degree is preferred. Certified Product Owner (CPO) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred Experience working with Workday Extend, Assistant, and WalkMe (SAP) platforms. Experience in change management and user training. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering software or technology products. Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools. Strong understanding of AI concepts, Workday Extend, Assistant, and WalkMe (SAP) technologies, and their potential applications in various industries. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Operational Management: Optimizes day-to-day operations and processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Organizational Development: Ability to implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness, engagement, and manage change. Financial Oversight: Knowledge of financial operations and management. Team Leadership: Ability to create and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment, build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
