Role Overview: As a Financial Services Analyst within the DIT, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing financial operations to support the university’s technology initiatives. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can analyze financial data, streamline processes, and collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial management. What You'll Do: - You will analyze financial data related to IT operations to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings. - You will manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities to support strategic decision-making. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with university financial policies and procedures. - You will develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to track key performance indicators. - You will assist in the preparation of financial documentation for audits and regulatory reviews. - You will support process improvement initiatives to enhance financial workflows and operational efficiency. - You will communicate financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels. - You will stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting financial operations. What You Bring: - A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably within higher education or IT environments. - Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel, SAP, or Oracle. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams. - Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a university or public sector financial environment. - Knowledge of IT operational processes and budgeting. - Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. - Certification in financial analysis or project management (e.g., CFA, PMP).
