What You Bring: - You have a Ph.D. in Plant Sciences, Food Safety, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. - You possess at least 3 years of postdoctoral or professional experience in produce safety or related agricultural research. - You have strong expertise in produce safety regulations, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies. - You demonstrate excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, including growers and policymakers. - You have a proven track record of securing research funding and publishing scientific work. - You are proficient in project management and collaborative research. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with USDA-ARS or similar agricultural research institutions. - Knowledge of California's agricultural landscape and produce industry. - Experience in extension education and community outreach. - Familiarity with emerging technologies in produce safety and food systems.
