As a Sr. Business Analyst, this position is responsible for UAT (User Acceptance Testing), test plan preparation and test execution of new product delivery initiative(s) spanning multiple applications within the Risk & Quality ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be validating and ensuring the functionality, usability and reliability of products from the end users’ perspective. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities: Strategic Collaboration: Work together with Product and Development teams to comprehend business requirements and technical solutions/design. Collaborate with peers on the UAT testing team to define a test strategy and plan that guarantees the technical build and functionality will meet the needs of clients, programs, or end-users and deliver the committed value Complex Workflow Mastery: Display a quick aptitude for understanding intricate data management workflows and technical architectures. Use this knowledge to shape testing methodologies and strategies that align with these complexities Data Analysis: Leverage SQL to derive meaningful insights, optimizing processes, and ensuring data accuracy Continuous Improvement: Use post-delivery evaluations as a learning curve, iterating testing processes for future projects Review product features and user stories to understand functional requirements, constraints, and business requirements (i.e., current, and future state analysis) Write, design, and execute tests by creating scripts that run testing functions Research, identify and obtain data requirements and data to meet all testing objectives Validate all functions and logic perform according to the relevant acceptance criteria outlined in the Capability/Features Review product features and user stories to understand functional requirements, constraints, and business requirements (i.e., current, and future state analysis) Develop test plans and scenarios that model and satisfy the project’s business requirements and confirm the tech build is meeting those requirements Present test plans and results observed during test execution/product demos to business and technology stakeholders Report, prioritize and track all defects to resolution; collaborate with scrum teams as needed You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in automated and manual testing 3+ years of experience in business & data analysis 1+ years creating and defining testing strategy and plans Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) Intermediate level of proficiency with SQL working with multiple database technologies including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL (complex joins, accessing multiple data environments, understanding indexes and partitions) Proven ability to communicate to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders Proven ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data Preferred Qualifications: Experience with API (Application Programming Interface) testing Medicare Risk Adjustment experience Experience with research in business process improvement and process flow Health Plan or Health Industry background (Clinical, Claims, Enrollment) *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
