The Medical Assistant provides supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. Some duties may be delegated to the MA by the physician or RN. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school BLS through American Heart Association This is an entry-level role. No experience is required with Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant or 1+ years of directly related experience as a medical assistant with no Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant Computer experience Proven ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population Basic Medical/Nursing terminology Preferred Qualifications: Certification within 1 year of hire date Ambulatory Care experience EPIC experience Proven windows computer skills UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $33,280 to $65,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
